This single sphere expansion joint is designed to absorb vibration, reduce noise, and compensate for thermal movement in pipelines.
Featuring a DN350 (14-inch) nominal diameter, it incorporates a single sphere EPDM/NBR rubber body for excellent flexibility and corrosion resistance, especially in water, chemical, or industrial applications. The flanges are ANSI 150# standard, made from stainless steel (SS304/316), providing superior strength and long-term durability.

Important Considerations:
Control Rods: For applications where excessive movement or pressure thrust could damage the expansion joint or adjacent equipment, control rods (tie rods) are often recommended or required. These rods limit the maximum extension of the joint.
Pressure and Temperature Ratings: Ensure the expansion joint's pressure and temperature ratings are suitable for the specific application. Different rubber materials have different operating limits.
Movement Capabilities: Understand the maximum allowable axial, lateral, and angular movements the joint can accommodate, and ensure these align with the system's needs. Note that typical single-sphere joints are designed for non-concurrent movements (i.e., not all movements simultaneously at their maximum).
Installation: Proper installation is crucial for the longevity and performance of the expansion joint. Floating flanges facilitate easier alignment during installation.
