Operation Guidelines
Safety Precautions
- 1535nm wavelength is eye-safe, but avoid direct laser exposure
- Cover receiving lens during optical axis alignment to prevent detector damage
- Maintain environment below 80% relative humidity and keep clean
- Avoid aiming at highly reflective targets (glass, white walls) within 20m
- Do not connect/disconnect cables while powered on
- Ensure correct power supply polarity to prevent equipment damage
Environmental Considerations
Ranging performance varies with atmospheric conditions. Reduced visibility in fog, rain, and sandstorms decreases range. Targets with high reflectivity (green tree clusters, white walls, limestone) improve performance. Increasing laser beam angle to target reduces effective range.
