Safety & Operating Guidelines
Important Safety Information
- Although 1535nm wavelength is eye-safe, avoid direct eye exposure to laser beam
- Cover receiving lens during optical axis alignment to prevent detector damage
- Maintain environment below 80% relative humidity to prevent laser damage
- Avoid targeting highly reflective surfaces (glass, white walls) within 20m range
- Do not connect/disconnect cables while device is powered on
- Ensure correct power supply polarity to prevent equipment damage
Environmental Considerations
Ranging performance is affected by atmospheric conditions. Range reduction occurs in fog, rain, and sandstorms. Optimal performance is achieved with targets having good reflectivity such as green tree clusters, white walls, and exposed limestone.
