GSM01 series Double Splice Tapes are used to join SMT component carrier tapes. Supplied in pre-cut strips of PET tape, these tapes can be used without splice tools or clips. Each piece features 10 embossed dots on either side for precise alignment with carrier tape. Available in three variants: anti-static, half anti-static, and non anti-static.
Detailed Instructions for Use
- Cutting the Carrier Tapes: Use designated cutting tools (GSMTL20/GSMTL30/GSMTL40) for precise cuts to ensure perfect fit and alignment.
- Preparing the Splice Tape: Remove the release liner to expose the adhesive side for secure bonding.
- Aligning the Carrier Tapes: Position cut carrier tapes (cover tape down) with the provided placement guide.
- Joining the Carrier Tapes: Place both ends onto the first strip of splice tape, ensuring correct alignment to prevent misfeeds.
- Securing the Splice: Fold the second strip to the underside and press firmly for stability.
- Finalizing the Splice: Remove and discard the clear plastic cover and guide to complete the process.
