GSM11 Series SMT Cover Tape Extenders are designed to extend cover tape when little or no leader is available. This avoids wasted components and reduces the feeder load time. Quickly adhere the pre-cut strips and elongate reels of all sizes. Ideal for partially cut reels.

1. Remove the Release Liner: Begin by removing the release liner to reveal the adhesive side of the extender. This step is essential for preparing the extender for attachment to the cover tape.
2. Align with the Front Edge of the Carrier Tape: Next, align the adhesive side of the extender with the front edge of the carrier tape. Proper alignment is crucial for ensuring that the extender is securely attached and that the cover tape is properly extended.
3. Stick the Complete Adhesive Strip: Once properly aligned, stick the complete adhesive strip onto the component cover tape and press firmly. This ensures a secure and durable attachment, preventing the extender from coming loose during the feeding process.
4. Feed the Non-Adhesive Side into the Feeder: Finally, feed the non-adhesive side of the extender into the feeder. This completes the process of extending the cover tape and prepares the reel for use in the SMT assembly process.
