Product Overview A transformer’s coils and internal structure are fixed upon completion of design and production. For multi-winding units, coils sharing the same voltage rating and winding technique have fixed Ci/Li parameters, resulting in consistent frequency-domain responses—making three-phase coil frequency spectra comparable.

Winding parameter changes occur due to interturn/phase short circuits (testing), transportation impacts (coil displacement), or electromagnetic force-induced deformation (fault operation). These changes disrupt the transformer’s original frequency-domain traits (e.g., frequency response amplitude shifts, resonance frequency offsets). Our Transformer Winding Tester—engineered with response analysis technology—is a cutting-edge non-destructive tool for internal fault detection, ideal for 63kV–500kV power transformers.

By quantifying winding parameter responses across frequencies, the tester evaluates deformation severity via change magnitude, frequency response shifts (amplitude/region), and trend analysis. This enables quick of whether a transformer needs major repairs or has sustained critical damage.

For in-service transformers, fault severity can be diagnosed by comparing faulty coil spectra—with or without historical frequency data. Original winding characteristic records, however, deliver more precise insights for operation, fault analysis, and maintenance.

Built with a laptop and single-chip microcomputer, the tester offers high-precision measurements in a compact design. It’s easy to operate (no prior expertise needed—just the manual or short training) and includes full test/analysis capabilities.
