ACD-100 Amino Carboxylic Acid Chelating Resin Removes Lead Cadmium from Potable Water Treatment
PRODUCT INFORMATION
ACD-100 is an amino carboxylic acid chelating resin purpose-built for polishing potable water supplies. It selectively sequesters Pb2+ and Cd2+ cations even in the presence of competing hardness ions, providing a reliable final barrier against trace heavy metal contamination in drinking water production.
Sphelite ACD-100 is a polystyrene divinyl benzene polymer chelating resin with CH2N(CH2COOH)2 functional groups. These groups contain N and O lone pair electrons and can form stable complexes with cations such as Cu2+, Pb2+, Fe2+, Cd2+, Ni2+ and Zn2+.
Compared with traditional cation exchange resins, ACD-100 shows higher exchange capacity and faster exchange rate. It has become a mature and widely applied solution in industrial separation processes.
