Product Introduction

Sphelite ACD-800A is a macroporous chelating resin built on a styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer matrix. Special functional groups with high affinity and selectivity for gallium ions (Ga3+) are grafted onto the polymer backbone. Its working mechanism relies mainly on coordination chemistry (chelation) rather than simple ion exchange, enabling low-cost, low-energy and high-efficiency selective enrichment of gallium from Bayer-process alumina mother liquor.

The dry type grade is supplied with reduced shipping moisture, lowering freight weight and storage volume while preserving the macroporous styrene-acrylonitrile structure and the chelating functional groups for gallium (Ga3+) recovery.

Operating Conditions

Pre-treatment: Rinse resin with 1-2BV pure water before use.

Adsorption Conditions: Suspended solids (SS) ≤ 1 ppm.

Regeneration: 4-6BV 5% H2SO4 and 2BV 5.0 mol/L NaOH; flow rates 1-1.5BV/h (H2SO4) and 2BV/h (water & NaOH); rinse with 2-4BV pure water after acid elution prior to NaOH activation.

Storage

Keep the package sealed and store above 0°C. If the resin dries out, soak it in ethanol for about 2 hours, wash with clean water, then repackage or use. Storage temperature shall not exceed 90°C. Prevent freezing and cracking in winter; melt slowly at room temperature if frozen.

Packaging

Supplied in 50 liters/drum (DRY TYPE), 200 liters/drum, 1 ton pallet, or customized packaging to meet domestic and international transportation standards.
