Reverse Osmosis System Description
Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that separates pure water from contaminants through semi-permeable membranes with fine pores. This highly effective method removes various water impurities including toxic heavy metals (lead, radium, mercury), chlorinated pesticides, organic matter, turbidity, dissolved solids, bacteria, and viruses.
Working Process
- Raw water pump: Provides pressure to quartz sand and active carbon filters
- Quartz sand filter: Removes turbidity, suspended matter, organic matter, and colloids
- Active carbon filter: Eliminates color, free chloride, and harmful organic matter
- Softener: Exchanges calcium and magnesium ions through ion exchange
- Security filter: Prevents large particles (5μm accuracy) from entering RO membrane
- High pressure pump: Provides necessary pressure for RO membrane operation
- RO system: Main component with 97% desalting rate, removing over 97% of ions
