Derived from the secretions of Chinese honeybees, our pure yellow beeswax is the perfect natural ingredient for cosmetics. In its natural state, it is a soft, solid with a range of hues from pale yellow to dark brown, exuding a natural honey and pollen fragrance. It has a smooth, sticky texture when chewed, and a rich, oily feel when kneaded, indicating its high level of malleability.
At 40°C, it begins to melt subtly, and above 85°C, the wax begins to lose its color. Despite being insoluble in water, it easily blends with fats, oils, and other waxes, and dissolves in a variety of organic solvents. When heated, it also dissolves in alcohol. This natural beeswax is notable for its superior malleability, lubricating properties, and its abilities to insulate, protect against moisture, and prevent surface corrosion.
Applications
With its natural properties of adhesion, permeability, emulsification, and smoothness, Barel Yellow Beeswax is a versatile ingredient in cosmetics.
