BARENATE P-300 is a high-performance organic bentonite, a thixotropic thickening agent and anti-settling agent that is easily dispersed, suitable for thickening various oils.
Application
BARENATE P-300 is a highly efficient organic bentonite with excellent thixotropic properties. Due to its ability to provide high low-shear viscosity, it is ideal for gel control. Compared to similar products, P-300 is more efficient, meaning less dosage is required to meet anti-settling needs.
Usage and Precautions
- Start by adding the oil that needs to be thickened, begin stirring, then add BARENATE P-300 and mix for 4-5 minutes. Add a polar activator and continue mixing for another 4-5 minutes. Adjust the amount of P-300 based on the desired viscosity.
- Recommended dosage of BARENATE P-300: 0.5-2%.
- Polar activator for BARENATE P-300: Propylene carbonate or 95% ethanol. The activator should be added at 5-20% of the P-300 dosage.
