BARENATE® P-300 is an advanced organically modified bentonite (organoclay) renowned for its exceptional thixotropic properties. It delivers superior low-shear viscosity, enabling efficient gelling and suspension control in oil-based systems. Compared to conventional organoclays, P-300 achieves anti-settling effects with reduced dosage, optimizing formulation costs.

- Gel stabilization in lipsticks, balms, and oil-phase cosmetics
- Prevention of pigment/solid settling in sunscreens, foundations, and anhydrous formulations
- Dispersion Process:
- Add the target oil phase to the mixer and begin agitation
- Gradually incorporate P-300 and mix for 4-5 minutes until homogeneous
- Introduce a polar activator (propylene carbonate or 95% ethanol) and continue mixing for 4-5 minutes
- Adjust P-300 dosage (0.5-2%) to achieve desired viscosity
- Polar Activator Ratio: 5-20% of P-300 weight
