Installation Guidelines
Selection Criteria
Choose a clamp where the U-shaped ring inner clearance is 1-3 mm larger than the wire rope diameter to ensure proper clamping and prevent loosening.
Installation Steps
- Tighten bolts until wire rope is flattened by 1/3 to 1/4 of its diameter
- Re-tighten after the wire rope is under stress to ensure joint reliability
- Arrange clamps in a straight line with U-shaped part contacting rope head only
- Install additional safety clamp approximately 500mm behind the last clamp
- Release rope head into a "safety bend" for slip detection monitoring
Important: The U-shaped part must contact only the rope head, not the main rope, to prevent stress concentration and potential breakage.
