Processing Guidelines
Temperature Control: Recommended processing temperature should not exceed 270°C to prevent flame retardant decomposition and foaming. Maintain vacuum during twin-screw extrusion.
Filtration: Screens can be added during extrusion, but mesh number should not be too high.
Compatibility Considerations
Important: Certain additives may affect flame retardant performance. Calcium carbonate severely impacts effectiveness. Talc, barium sulfate, and wollastonite require increased flame retardant dosage. Carbon black exceeding 0.5% or black masterbatch over 1% reduces flame retardancy. Bromine and chlorine-containing additives may cause flame retardant failure.
