Installation Guidelines
Mounting Requirements
- Mount on ceramic or glass fiber substrates using pre-formed solder, conductive adhesive, or bonding wire
- Coordinate coefficient of linear expansion between substrate and resistor to reduce solder joint stress
- Ensure marked side (film layer) faces upwards during mounting
- Use tweezers to grip both electrode ends to prevent mechanical damage
Soldering Specifications
- Recommended method: reflow soldering
- Soldering iron temperature: ≤250°C
- Soldering time: ≤5 seconds
- Manual soldering: Apply adhesive first, then solder each end after curing
- Avoid resistor removal when possible - removed resistors not recommended for reuse
