- Tighten the release valve by turning clockwise
- Loosen the vented oil bolt
- Apply grease to die cover, swagging blocks, and the pipe to be bent
- Lift the upper plate and affix the bending die to the cylinder ram
- Position swagging blocks with grooves facing toward the pipe die
- Ensure pipe extends beyond swagging blocks to account for shortening during bending
- Adjust swagging blocks closer together for short pipes
- Return upper plate and advance the die using the included handle
- Use the forming pump to apply pressure and bend to desired angle
- Release pressure by opening the release valve after bending
- Lift upper plate to remove the finished bent pipe
