Product Overview
Casting carbon anode brackets with three stubs designed for aluminium smelting reduction cells. These wear-resistant components provide superior energy efficiency and mechanical support in high-temperature industrial applications.
Application & Process
Carbon anodes operate in reduction processes at approximately 960°C for aluminium production. The electrolyte ("BATH") consists primarily of recycled cryolite with alumina additions. Anode rod assemblies made of copper and cast steel support the carbon anodes in the molten bath, joined with molten cast iron to form complete anode assemblies prepared in the Rodding Room.
