Working Principles of the Equipment

Step 1: Pre-Processing and Ingredient Loading
First, oil-phase ingredients (e.g., mineral oil in lotions, waxes in creams) and water-phase ingredients (e.g., deionized water, glycerin) are preheated or cooled separately to the required temperature (per formulation guidelines) to reduce viscosity and improve miscibility. Solid additives—such as toothpaste abrasives, cosmetic pigments, or preservatives—are pre-dissolved or ground into fine particles (to avoid clogging the homogenizer) before loading. Ingredients are added to the mixing tank through the sealed ports, with the vacuum system kept off during this stage to prevent spills.
Step 2: Initial Agitation and Emulsification
Once ingredients are loaded, the anchor stirrer and propeller stirrer are activated at low speeds. The anchor stirrer 刮 s the tank wall to mix heavy ingredients, while the propeller stirrer circulates lighter components, creating a preliminary mixture. For emulsified products (e.g., oil-in-water lotions), emulsifiers (e.g., polysorbates) are added at this stage.
