The Cirrus SR-20 is a small, four-seat, single-engine, composite-fuselage piston-engine propeller aircraft manufactured by Cirrus Aircraft Design and Manufacturing Company, featuring a low-wing design. Design began in 1994, and it received its type certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 1998. Equipped with Garmin Perspective avionics and a unique whole-aircraft parachute system (CAPS), the aircraft is suitable for use as a private jet and primary trainer.
