- Fresh produce is picked at its prime and taken directly to canning factory
- Produce is washed under fast water jets and prepared (peeled, trimmed, cored, sliced)
- Prepared food is packed into cans moving along a conveyor belt
- Liquid (brine, water, oil, syrup or fruit juice) is added to fill the can
- Lid is sealed and tested for air tightness
- Cans are cooked at precise temperature and pressure to kill microorganisms
- Cooled cans are labeled and packaged for distribution
