GBRU Escrow Module Functionality
The GBRU Escrow module is a critical security component in ATM machines that ensures proper cash handling during transactions. This module serves as an intermediate storage area where banknotes are securely held during the cash dispensing process.
When a customer initiates a cash withdrawal, the ATM verifies transaction details and available funds. Once approved, bills are transferred from the cash cassette to the GBRU Escrow module, where they remain in a secure, isolated state for final verification.
The escrow module prevents cash misdispensing by performing final validation checks using built-in sensors that detect magnetic ink, watermarks, and other security features. If counterfeit bills or other issues are detected, the dispensing process is halted and authorities are alerted.
During power failures or machine malfunctions, bills stored in the escrow module remain protected, ensuring customer funds are secure and properly accounted for once normal operations resume.
