The NMD50 dispenser Note Qualifier (NQ 100) is a critical internal component of the Glory NMD (Notes and Media Dispenser) 50 and NMD 100 series, primarily utilized in ATM systems. This component is responsible for transporting banknotes through the machine while detecting specific characteristics to ensure accurate and reliable dispensing operations.
Key Functions of the Note Qualifier (NQ 100)
- Note Transport: Contains the main motor and drive system that moves banknotes throughout the entire dispenser mechanism
- Double Detection: Incorporates Intelligent Double Detection (IDD) system, a proprietary Glory technology that accurately identifies if two notes are fed together, even when degraded
- Note Qualification: Utilizes sensors to count and verify notes, determining if they meet required fitness criteria for transactions. Failed notes are automatically diverted to a separate reject vault
- System Integration: Works seamlessly with other modules including the Note Feeder Unit (NFU) and Note Diverter (ND), all controlled by the Central Machine Controller (CMC)
The "100" designation in NQ 100 indicates compatibility with the NMD 100 model, which represents a higher-capacity, modular dispenser system compared to the NMD 50. The NQ unit itself is commonly interchangeable between both models.
