Structure
The EC oil seal mainly consists of a metal end cap and a rubber layer. The metal end cap provides strength and stability, ensuring the overall rigidity of the seal. The rubber layer is coated on the outside of the end cap, which is in direct contact with the sealed surface, playing a key role in sealing.

The metal skeleton provides the necessary support to ensure that the seal retains its proper shape during installation and operation, allowing it to resist pressure and impact. The rubber part of the wrapped skeleton is in direct contact with the sealing surface. It is elastic and fits well to the shaft and forms a tight seal.

Material
Commonly, high-quality nitrile rubber (NBR) and fluororubber (FKM) are used as the main materials for the rubber layer. NBR has good oil resistance and wear resistance, and is suitable for general working conditions, with a wide range of applications and relatively low cost. FKM has more excellent high temperature resistance, chemical resistance and weather resistance, and can maintain good sealing performance in harsh environments, but the cost is relatively high.

Uses

• In engines: they prevent oil leakage from the crankshaft, camshaft and valve train areas. 
• In industrial machinery: EC oil seals keep lubricant inside the gearbox, protecting gears from excessive wear due to lack of lubrication. 
• For hydraulic equipment: They maintain the integrity of the hydraulic circuit and prevent leaks that can lead to hydraulic losses.
