Structure
TB oil seals usually consist of a metal housing that provides strength and stiffness. An internal spring-loaded sealing lip ensures tight contact with the shaft.
Advantages and disadvantages
The advantages are simple structure, easy to manufacture, light weight and low material consumption. They also have a long service life. However, in some extremely harsh environments, such as extreme high temperatures or high pressures beyond the rated range, their sealing performance may be compromised. In addition, in certain corrosive environments, the metal outer cage may corrode if not properly protected.
Consider the working conditions
Temperature: If the working temperature is - 50℃-120℃, TB type oil seal made of NBR can be chosen; if the temperature is - 50℃-300℃, fluorine rubber (FKM) is more suitable.
Pressure: When the pressure is less than 0.03MPa, ordinary TB type oil seal can be selected; for the pressure between 0.03MPa-1MPa, TB type oil seal with better high-pressure performance should be selected; if the pressure is more than 1MPa, TB type oil seal with special design or material that can withstand higher pressure should be selected.
