Oxidation Resistance Properties
In oxidizing atmospheres, the element forms a protective quartz film on its surface through high-temperature combustion, preventing further oxidation of MoSi2 material.
Important Operating Guidelines:
- Protective quartz film melts above 1700°C
- Avoid prolonged use between 400-700°C to prevent component pulverization from low-temperature oxidation
- Ideal for continuous high-temperature applications
