Handling liquefied gases like LNG, liquid nitrogen, or oxygen demands valves that perform reliably in extreme cold. Standard valves can fail due to seat embrittlement and stem packing contraction. Our cryogenic 3-piece welded ball valve is specifically designed to operate safely and securely from ambient temperatures down to -320°F (-196°C).

Critical Design Features for Low-Temperature Service

Extended Bonnet (Stem Extension):A long stem separates the standard operating mechanism from the cold fluid, preventing stem seal freeze and ensuring operability. The extended bonnet is filled with insulation to minimize heat ingress.
Low-Temperature Seat Materials:Specially formulated polymers like glass-filled PTFE or modified PEEK remain flexible and resilient at cryogenic temperatures, preventing leakage.
Deep Cryogenic Treatment:Critical components undergo a sub-zero stabilization process to prevent dimensional changes and ensure material integrity.
Leak-Tight Welded Construction:Butt-weld ends provide the ultimate seal, superior to flanged or threaded connections that can leak as metals contract.
