Starter Motor Operation
When the engine is activated (via start button or key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid, which transfers charge from the battery to the starter motor. This current activates the motor and engages the starter drive (Bendix) with the vehicle's flywheel.
The starter motor turns to crank the engine and initiate combustion. Once the engine runs independently, the mechanism disengages the starter motor from the flywheel as the electrical spark is no longer needed.
