- Additive for cast iron to improve abrasion resistance, hardness, and heat resistance properties
- Raw material for producing medium-carbon, low-carbon, and extra low carbon ferrochrome via slagless process
- Chromium source for metallic chromium production through electrolysis process
- Primary material for stainless steel smelting using oxygen blasting methods
