Vacuum Degasser for Drilling Fluid Gas Treatment
The mud vacuum degasser is specialized equipment designed for effective gas treatment in drilling fluid systems. Positioned downstream of shale shakers, mud cleaners, and mud gas separators, this unit processes drilling fluid before it reaches hydrocyclones and centrifuges, removing residual entrained bubbles that remain after initial gas separation.
Working Principle
The vacuum degasser utilizes a vacuum pump to create negative pressure within the main chamber. Atmospheric pressure forces the drilling fluid into the degasser, where an impeller breaks down gas bubbles and separates them from the liquid. The process involves vacuum suction, bubble rupture and separation, and gas discharge stages.
