Sinus balloon dilatation is to insert a small and soft balloon into the sinus passage under the guidance of nasal endoscope, and use the balloon dilatation to restore the reduced or blocked passages due to inflammation to the original size or slightly larger, so that air can enter the sinus smoothly, and use normal saline or drugs to rinse the sinus cavity to achieve the purpose of treatment. Studies have shown that the procedure successfully widened the sinus opening in all patients without causing complications or adverse reactions. Preoperative and postoperative CT scans, multiangle endoscopy, and gross examination all confirmed the safety of the technique.
