A213 TP347H Stainless Steel Seamless Boiler Tubes For Heat-Resistant Applications
A213 TP347H Stainless Steel Seamless Boiler Tubes For Heat-Resistant Applications
A213 TP347H is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel grade specifically developed for high-temperature and high-pressure applications, such as boilers, heat exchangers, and superheaters. It is a seamless tube manufactured according to the ASTM A213 standard, which specifies the requirements for ferritic and austenitic alloy steel tubes for heat-resistant applications. The addition of columbium (niobium) in the alloy enhances its high-temperature strength and resistance to sensitization, making it ideal for use in environments with extreme heat.
Key Features
-
High-Temperature Resistance
TP347H is designed to withstand prolonged exposure to high temperatures, up to 650°C (1202°F), without losing strength or stability. Its superior creep strength makes it suitable for pressure-containing applications in boilers and superheaters. -
Enhanced Corrosion Resistance
The alloy contains chromium (18-20%) and nickel (9-13%), providing excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion in both oxidizing and reducing environments. The addition of columbium helps resist intergranular corrosion, especially in high-temperature environments. -
Seamless Construction
Manufactured as seamless tubes, A213 TP347H ensures uniformity, superior strength, and the ability to perform under high-pressure conditions without the risk of leakage. -
Good Weldability
The material offers good weldability, allowing it to be joined to other components with minimal risk of cracking or defects during the welding process. -
Stabilized Composition
The stabilization provided by columbium prevents carbide precipitation during welding or exposure to high temperatures, enhancing its mechanical properties.
