ASME SA210 Grade A1 is a seamless medium-carbon steel tube designed for boiler tubes, boiler flues, superheater flues, and safe ends. Manufactured via seamless hot-finished or cold-drawn processes, it is formulated for high-pressure boilers and steam generation systems operating under elevated temperature and stress conditions.

Dimensional Capabilities & Tolerances
  • Outside Diameter (OD): 1/2 in. to 5 in. (12.7 mm to 127 mm).
  • Wall Thickness (WT): Minimum Wall Thickness per ASME SA210 / SA450, ranging from BWG 18 to BWG 4 (1.24 mm to 10.92 mm) and heavier wall schedules.
  • Length: Single Random, Double Random, or Fixed Cut Lengths up to 24,000 mm.
  • Tolerances: Outside diameter, wall thickness, and weight per foot comply with ASME SA450 / SA450M standards.
Testing & Nondestructive Examination (NDT)
  • Hydrostatic Test: 100% executed on all tubes per ASME SA450; test pressures calculated to produce a stress in the tube wall equal to 75% of the specified minimum yield strength.
  • Nondestructive Electric Examination: 100% Eddy Current Testing (ECT) or Ultrasonic Testing (UT) performed in accordance with ASME SA450 / ASTM E213.
  • Mechanical Tests: Flattening test, flaring test (for seamless tubes), hardness test, and tension test performed on representative specimens per heat lot.
  • Certification: Accompanied by EN 10204 Type 3.1 Mill Test Certificates with full chemical, mechanical, and non-destructive testing traceability.
