Thermal Case Growth Measurement for Large Turbines
Case expansion (also known as shell expansion) is a critical position measurement in Turbine Supervisory Instrumentation (TSI). This parameter tracks the thermal growth of the machine casing as it expands during startup and online operations. The transducer system is typically mounted on the foundation opposite the turbine casing attachment point, providing precise measurement of machine case growth relative to the foundation.

Operational Advantages
