Product Overview

When field crews have to take a firm hold on a bare conductor in a hurry, the SLW(S) sock connector is the tool they reach for. Its stainless steel weave pulls tight and even around ACSR conductors from 70 up to 1250 square millimetres, carrying working loads of 15-120KN with breaking strength to 250KN. The interlocked mesh applies clamping pressure around the full circumference, and a zinc-nickel finish keeps the braid free of rust in damp air. Typical jobs include line terminations, substation cable hook-ups, underground splices and rapid emergency repairs.
