Function:

1. Realization of the clutch function: when the clutch pedal is pressed, the master pump generates pressure, which is transmitted to the sub-pump through the hydraulic oil. The piston inside the sub-pump moves under the action of hydraulic pressure and pushes the release fork to disengage the clutch pressure plate and plate from contact with the flywheel, thus cutting off the transmission of power and facilitating the shift operation. After releasing the clutch pedal, the splitter pump stops working, and under the action of the return spring, the clutch pressure plate and plate re-contact with the flywheel, resuming power transmission.

2. Boosting function: In some medium and heavy cranes, the clutch sub-pump can be used as a booster device. When maneuvering the clutch to disengage or engage, it can add output force to help the driver maneuver the clutch pedal more easily, reduce pedal travel and force, and improve driving comfort and maneuverability.

3. Adjusting torque: By changing the cylinder bore, stroke and other parameters of the main pump and sub-pump, the torque transmission can be changed, playing a role similar to that of a lever, in order to adapt to different work demands and working conditions[^3^].

4. Sealing anti-leakage: some parts in the clutch sub-pump, such as the piston bowl, etc., can play a sealing role in preventing hydraulic oil leakage to ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic system.
