8.7-15KV Medium Voltage Power Cable
XLPE insulated medium voltage power cables designed for reliable power transmission in various industrial and utility applications with voltage ratings from 8.7KV to 15KV.
Applications
Suitable for static installation in ground, within and outside facilities, outdoor environments, cable canals, and water applications where cables are not exposed to heavy mechanical stress or tensile strain.
Cable Construction
- Conductor: Circular compacted stranded copper or aluminum
- Conductor screen: Extruded semi-conductive compound
- Insulation: XLPE (Cross-linked polyethylene)
- Insulation screen: Extruded semi-conductive compound
- Metallic screen: Copper tape
- Binder tape: Non-hygroscopic material
- Inner covering (bedding): PVC
- Metallic armor: Galvanized steel tape
Technical Specifications
- Rated voltage: 2-35 kV
- Maximum conductor temperature: 90°C normal operation, 160°C short circuit (5 seconds maximum)
- Minimum ambient temperature: 0°C (pre-heating required below this temperature)
- Minimum bending radius: Single core cable 20(d+D)±5%, Multi-core cable 15(d+D)±5%
