Product Description


ER316 stainless steel welding wire is a welding wire used for welding stainless steel. It has excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance and is suitable for various harsh corrosive environments. The chemical composition of ER316 welding wire includes 19% chromium (Cr), 12% nickel (Ni) and 2% molybdenum (Mo), which give the weld metal excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance and crack resistance.‌


Welding process

Welding method: Applicable to TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas Welding) and SAW (Submerged Arc Welding).


Shielding gas: Pure argon or argon-helium mixed gas is recommended for TIG and MIG welding.


Preheating and interpass temperature: Preheating is usually not required, and the interpass temperature is recommended to be controlled below 150°C.


Post-weld treatment: Post-weld heat treatment is usually not required, but solution treatment can be performed as required in special cases.
