1. Chemical composition and aluminum content
The main chemical composition of ER1100 aluminum welding wire includes: Si (silicon) ≤ 0.03%, Cu (copper) ≤ 0.002%, Zn (zinc) ≤ 0.013%, Fe (iron) ≤ 0.18%, Mn (manganese) ≤ 0.003%, and the rest is aluminum (AL) remainder.
The aluminum content is extremely high, usually reaching or exceeding 99.5%. There are also claims that its aluminum content is ≥ 99.0%, which is a pure aluminum welding wire.
