The radar level meter operates on frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) technology. The device transmits electromagnetic waves from the top of the tank, which reflect off the medium surface and return to the radar receiver. The frequency difference between transmitted and received signals is proportional to the distance to the material surface, enabling precise level calculation when combined with known tank dimensions.
