1. Core Material & Component Types:

  • Material: Premium Synthetic Fused Silica (Quartz). An ultra-pure, amorphous glass with exceptional optical and thermal properties.

  • Prism Types: Includes three key geometries for beam manipulation:

    • Right-Angle Prism: For 90-degree beam bending or used as a reflector.

    • Penta Prism: Deviates a beam by exactly 90 degrees regardless of minor orientation errors.

    • Wedge Prism: A thin prism with a small angle for precise, small-angle beam steering or dispersion compensation.


2. Defining Physical & Optical Properties:

  • Ultra-High Laser Damage Threshold (LDT): Fused silica's primary property, making it essential for high-power and ultrafast pulsed laser systems where other materials fail.

  • Exceptional Thermal & Chemical Stability: Low thermal expansion and high resistance to thermal shock and chemical corrosion ensure stable performance under intense laser irradiation.

  • Broad Spectral Transmission: Excellent transmission from deep UV (~185 nm) to near-infrared, suitable for a wide range of laser wavelengths.

  • High Homogeneity & Low Inclusions: Minimizes wavefront distortion, scatter, and internal energy absorption that could damage the optic.
