These arc parts are machined from 1Cr17Ni2 martensitic stainless steel (AISI 431 class), with 17-4PH, 420 and 304 stainless available where a different balance of strength and corrosion resistance is called for. Mill and grind operations are carried out on the same part number, so faces and pockets stay in one family. Every shipment includes CMM Dimensional Inspection Reports and Material Mill Certificates, and RoHS/REACH-compliant options are available per specification.
Milled And Ground For Curved Seat Control
- Faces Ground Parallel After Milling.The top and bottom faces are surface ground once the profile is milled, then checked for parallelism, so the part beds down on its seat instead of rocking on one edge as the fasteners pull tight.
- Recessed Pocket Depth Held.The recessed pocket and the raised rim around it are milled as a controlled step and verified afterwards, so whatever sits in the pocket comes to the height the assembly expects.
- Counterbores And Locating Hole On One Datum.The counterbored holes and the smaller locating hole share a reference with the arc faces, so screws pull down square and the part finds its position on the curve without being forced.
