1.Heavy factories: such as metallurgy (steel mill steelmaking workshop), machinery manufacturing (heavy machine tool workshop), heavy chemical factory, etc. Such buildings need to support large equipment (such as cranes, rolling mills). The steel structure can provide sufficient bearing capacity through large-section members (such as H-sections, box columns) and can adapt to the dynamic loads of equipment installation (such as impact loads when cranes are running)
2. Light textile/electronics factory: such as garment factory and semiconductor workshop. Although this type of building has a light load, it requires high spatial flexibility (the layout of the production line needs to be adjusted frequently).
