GMSL is a Serializer/Deserializer (SerDes) technology that enables high-speed transmission by converting parallel data into a serial data stream, which is then reduced to parallel data at the receiving end. Its core advantages include:

High bandwidth: Single-channel rates up to 6Gbps (far exceeding USB 3.0's 2.5Gbps);
Long-distance transmission: supports 15 meters and above, suitable for car and other complex wiring scenarios;
Anti-interference ability: using differential signal transmission to reduce the impact of electromagnetic interference (EMI).

Comparison with parallel bus Parallel bus enhances the bandwidth by increasing the wiring harness, but faces problems such as synchronization difficulties and signal interference; while GMSL solves these problems by single-wire serial transmission, significantly reducing the number of wiring harnesses and costs.
