OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is a structural engineered wood panel manufactured from small-diameter timber, thinning materials, and wood cores. The wood is processed into long strands (40-100mm length, 5-20mm width, 0.3-0.7mm thickness) and undergoes specialized processing including degreasing, drying, adhesive application, directional orientation, and hot pressing.
The unique cross-laminated structure features surface strands arranged longitudinally and core strands arranged transversely. This engineered orientation reorganizes wood grain patterns, eliminating internal stress effects while providing exceptional machining characteristics and moisture resistance.
