Working Process & Technology
Five-Step Carburizing Process
- Heating Phase: Components heated to 850-950°C (1560-1740°F) in controlled atmosphere
- Gas Introduction: Carbon-rich gases (natural gas, propane, endothermic gas) introduced for surface enrichment
- Diffusion Process: Carbon atoms penetrate steel surface to create hardened case layer
- Quenching: Rapid cooling in oil, water, or polymer media for surface hardening
- Tempering (Optional): Lower temperature treatment to reduce brittleness and improve toughness
