All NP batteries are equipped with Yuasa's proprietary Electrolyte Suspension System, which incorporates an ultra-fine glass mat to retain the maximum amount of electrolyte within the cell. The electrolyte is retained within the separator material, preventing electrolyte from freely leaking from the battery. No gel or other contaminants are added.
The battery is equipped with a simple and safe low pressure vent system that releases excess gas if gas builds up within the battery due to overcharging, and automatically reseals. Caution: Batteries should not be charged in a sealed container.
The use of special separator material provides very effective insulation between the plates, preventing short circuits between the plates and preventing the active material from falling off.
