The structure of the GYXTC8S cable consists of a 250 μm optical fiber encased in a loose tube made of high-modulus material, which is filled with a waterproofing compound. The loose tube is wrapped with a layer of double-sided plastic coated steel tape (PSP) longitudinally, and water-resistant material is added between the steel tape and the loose tube to ensure the compactness of the fiber optic cable and the longitudinal water-resistance, and the steel wire strand is integrated into a figure-of-eight polyethylene sheath.
