Precautions for waterproof membrane construction
Requirements for surface treatment
1. Dryness control
- The moisture content of the base layer is ≤10%, which can pass the simple test of "1㎡ roll material covered for 3-4 hours without watermark".
- Moisture-curing adhesive or interface isolation agent should be used for wet base surfaces.
2. Flatness and cleanliness
- The base layer should be hard and flat, without sharp objects, sand holes or cracks, and the corners should be made into arcs (radius ≥50mm).
- Thoroughly clean dust, oil and other debris to ensure that there are no visible water drops.
Construction environment and time
1. Weather conditions
- Construction is strictly prohibited on rainy, snowy and windy days above level 5.
- Anti-cracking measures should be taken during negative temperature construction to avoid excessive stretching of the coil.
2. Temperature limit
- The ambient temperature for hot melt construction should not be lower than 0℃, and hot melt is prohibited for coils with a thickness of less than 3mm.
Material selection and paving technology
1. Material adaptability
- Select the type of roll material according to the climate: SBS for cold areas, APP for high temperature areas, and self-adhesive for complex scenes.
- Check the quality of the tire base (polyester felt is better than composite tire) and the uniformity of impregnation.
2. Paving specifications
- Use the "pull-paving method" or "roll-paving method", vent while paving to avoid hollowing.
- Overlap width ≥80-100mm (short side and long side), and the overlap must be fully glued or overflow with hot melt adhesive.
