Basalt geogrid is a semi-rigid reinforcement material made of acid-resistant, alkali-resistant and high-temperature-resistant basalt fiber, which is made into a mesh base material through warp knitting process and surface coating. Its core material, basalt fiber, is made of volcanic rock melt drawing and has the characteristics of high strength and high modulus.
Key characteristics of Basalt Geogrid
1. High strength and low elongation
The bidirectional breaking strength of warp and weft is as high as 90-150kN/m, and the breaking elongation is less than 4%, which can effectively disperse stress and reduce road settlement.
2. Extreme temperature resistance
The long-term use temperature range is **-260℃~650℃**, and the melting point exceeds 1500℃, which is suitable for high-temperature asphalt paving (above 190℃) and low-temperature shrinkage requirements in cold areas.
3. Corrosion resistance and anti-aging
It is resistant to acid, alkali, salt corrosion and ultraviolet rays, has strong chemical stability, and can reach a service life of 50-100 years, suitable for harsh environments.
4. Excellent compatibility with asphalt
The surface coating material is specially designed for asphalt to ensure close bonding with the mixture and avoid stratification.

- Asphalt pavement reinforcement: resist reflective cracks, rutting and low-temperature shrinkage cracking.
- Old road renovation: reinforce cement concrete pavement and extend service life.

- Slope protection and embankment: resist flood erosion and landslides, suitable for railways and airport runways.
