Main Raw Materials for Polyester Geogrid
Polyester filament (PET filament): The main material features high strength and low elongation.
Coating materials: Typically PVC (polyvinyl chloride), asphalt, or SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber), used to enhance aging resistance and improve adhesion to soil and asphalt.
Polyester Geogrid Production Process
1. Material Selection: High-strength polyester filament yarn.
2. Weaving/Warp Knitting: The filament yarns are interwoven into a grid structure.
3. Shaping: A heat-setting process stabilizes the grid into a stable, mesh-like shape.
4. Coating: The surface is coated with PVC or other polymers to enhance durability, UV resistance, and chemical resistance.
